Joachim Asare is a versatile AI/ML Software and Research Engineer with a robust background in machine learning, AI, and embedded systems/IoT. His engineering research focus lies in development of human-centered AI/ML software systems. Professional Experience
Joachim is presently a Graduate Teaching and Research Fellow at Harvard Universtiy where he has 6 years of Software Engineering experience starting as a freelance Full Stack Web Developer during his undergraduate years. Joachim has continuously expanded his expertise in developing and deploying innovative hardware and software solutions. His professional journey includes significant roles such as an IoT Research & Development Engineer at Translight Solar Limited in Ghana, where he leveraged data analysis and machine learning to enhance energy systems, and a Generative AI Software Engineer Intern at IA Collaborative in Chicago, where he developed AI-driven software solutions. His work has consistently focused on the intersection of AI, user-centric design, and system optimization, demonstrating a commitment to impactful technology development.
Education
Joachim is attending Harvard University for his Master in Design Engineering, with a concentration in Human-Centered Design and AI/ML, expecting to graduate in May 2025. He graduated from Ashesi University with a degree in BSc. Electrical and Electronic Engineering, where he was a MasterCard Foundation Scholar and was honored to be his year group's Valedictorian.
